>We do groom by appointment only and since Appointments are required you will need to call us to set up your appointment for your dog to be groomed.  You can also make your appointments by text message my cell is 304-444-7044 or by e-mail MagikAshes@aol.com

>We groom all breeds and all sizes of cats and dogs and do everything from a 2 pound Chihuahua to a 250 pound Newfoundland and everything in-between.

>We specialize in customized and modified clips and can do any clip that you want on your dog/cat no matter how different (but within reason- we will not however do anything that will hurt the animal: so if he/she is severely matted to the skin combing it out will not be an option since it will hurt the animal and burse the skin and thus hurt your pet).

> Oatmeal, medicated, flea and other specialty shampoos and treatments are available upon request for a little extra. We also offer hot oil treatments, moisturizing treatments, de-shedding treatments, flea dip, teeth brushing and anal gland expression for additional fees. To see a complete list and pricing view the link at the bottom of this page. If a specific shampoo like one given by a veterinarian is needed the owner can bring it with the dog for us to use, this however will not add to or take away from the price of the dog. We also will file nails down, and do face cleaning, ear cleaning and can and will use ear meds and such that are given to you by your veterinarian.  We do not however give any sort of oral meds since if the dog was to have a reaction we are not a veterinarian.

> We do not sedate or give any sort of calming medication.  All pets have to let us groom them.  If your dog or cat needs sedated to be groomed you have two options: 1) have him/her groomed by a veterinarian since they will sedate. This however is quite pricy and is typically at least $75 for the sedation alone not including the groom and bath. Vets typically do complete shave downs to the skin also and don't typically offer otherwise.  2) Your vet can give you sedation pills for you to give to your dog/cat before his/her appointment with us.  Just please make sure we are notified that the animal is under sedation and when the pills were given.  In this case it is recommended for you to do a trail run at home first.  This helps establish that the dog/cat won't have any reactions/allergies or problems towards it and also helps you figure out the dosage needed. You will need to personally administer the sedation pills as we will not.

> We take many different precautions just to insure the safety and comfort of your pet while he/she is with us.  To see the entire list just view the below link.

> Our dryers do not have any heating element in them for added safety and peace of mind as well.  All animals are bathed with 100% fresh clean warm water; we do not recycle our water. They are also bathed on a matted platform so never touch the dirty water that comes off of them. Due to the amount of parasites, skin problems, potty material and such that comes off of dogs and cats to do otherwise would not be safe or produce clean results.

> We take every measure possible to make sure Almost Heaven stays free and tick free, more information on this can be viewed in the precaution link at the bottom of this page.

> Tools and areas are sanitized in-between dogs and before and after our day is complete.

We require all dogs and cats to be dropped off in the morning and we call you when they are ready to go home. Typically we get everyone in between 8am and 9am on Wed, Thursday and Friday and between 9am and 10 pm on Saturday.  If a later drop off time is needed we will do our best to make it work.  For animals coming in at usual times in the mornings they typically go home between 3pm and 6pm.  If you rather bring your dog or cat in between noon and 1pm he or she will be ready between 5pm and 7pm.  If you are late dropping off your pet please call us and let us know you are still coming and we will typically still let you come.  However please remember that we cannot work on someone that is not here so if you needed him back by 1:00 and therefore supposed to drop him off first thing in the morning at 8 am but are running late and don't come in until 11 instead it is going to be at least 3pm until he/she is ready since we were given 2 less hours to make this happen.  If you need your dog or cat done by a specific time please let us know when your appointment is made so that we can try to accommodate your request.  In the event that you have plan later that day please also let us know we will do our best to make sure your pet is ready to go at the time that you need him/her but we cannot read minds nor can we get someone done with only an hour or so notice.

Upon your first visit a copy of your dog/cat’s shot records need to be shown to us (rabies is needed as well). We don’t need to keep it just need to make sure the dog/cat is up to date before we groom him/her. This is for the protection of your pet as well as our other clients and with rabies considered for our protection.  Upon every visit to our salon all cats need to be in carriers and dogs should be on a lead and collar that they cannot pull out of.  Furthermore, it is recommended that you leave the dog's lead and collar on him/her when you leave the pet with us.  You will get them back when he or she is picked up.
